Butte, Testing Curbside Recycling Plan

Public Waste and Recycling Coordinator Giao Hoang is excited about starting the curbside recycling next week.

The pilot program would involve 160 residents who would get a blue recycling bin and have the city pick up recyclables from the curb every other week.

"During this pilot program we've contracted with AWARE to bale up all our recycling materials and then from that they sell it out to a sorting facility where they will sort those materials," said Hoang.
