A 24-year-old Eagle Disposal of East Earl trash collector was struck in the West Lampeter Township of Pennsylvania on Monday.

A 24-year-old Eagle Disposal of East Earl trash collector was killed on Monday morning during a hit-and-run accident. He was struck in the West Lampeter Township of Pennsylvania, transported to Lancaster General Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a trash collector in West Lampeter Township this morning.

The 24-year-old man from Media was working for Eagle Disposal of East Earl and was walking when he was struck at 5:20 a.m., township police Detective Steven Heinly said. It happened in front of 2518 Willow Street Pike North near Long Lane.
