The 7th Annual Garbageman's Invitational Golf Tournament & Social Event, which was founded by Kerry Holmes and Mike Melideo of Confab and Ray Burke of Clean Energy and raises money for the Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF), took place in Temecula, Calif., April 26-28, 2016.

The invite-only, two-day event was attended by approximately 250 members of the waste and recycling industry. At the event, which has no business agenda, attendees participated in golf, receptions and dinners.

This year, $18,000 was raised and donated to EREF, and there is now an EREF scholarship in the name of the Garbageman’s Invitational.

The event was made possible by founding companies Confab and Clean Energy and 14 other sponsorship companies.

Here, Waste360 has created a gallery that features some of the highlights from the event.
