Conservation Minister Gord Mackintosh says Manitoba lags behind the rest of the country in its recycling efforts.
Mackintosh announced the government will invest $275,000 to support the province’s first mattress recycling project in co-operation with Winnipeg’s Mother Earth Recycling.
“Manitoba has got to become a recycling leader,” Mackintosh said after the announcement, which coincided with Earth Day.
