CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP) announced that the company's Board of Directors has appointed Earl M. Cummings as its Independent Board Chair. Mr. Cummings has served as an Independent Director of CenterPoint Energy's Board of Directors since 2020. During that time, he has also served as the Chair of the Governance, Environmental and Sustainability Committee, as well as a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.

Mr. Cummings succeeds Martin H. Nesbitt, who served as Independent Board Chair since July 2021.

Eco-Products released its 10th annual report on its social and environmental responsibility efforts — now known as its Impact Report — detailing the company's progress to date and highlighting its ambitions moving forward.

The new report outlined a variety of successes for Eco-Products in 2022, including helping more foodservice operators divert waste from landfills, advocating for composters nationwide and offering a variety of new compostable plates, bowls and trays made without added PFAS.

Ensolum, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Woodall as Senior Managing Geologist and Director of Oklahoma Operations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Josh will expand Ensolum's presence into Oklahoma and Kansas and will play an integral role in developing new business, deepening and expanding existing client relationships, and managing and mentoring staff.

Josh is a geologist bringing more than 13 years of expertise in environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects, primarily for oil and gas clients. He is a skilled technical environmental professional focusing primarily on risk-based corrective action and risk management.

InnoVent Renewables announces its formation with a corporate mission to drive renewable energy forward by mitigating the global environmental challenge of waste tires. InnoVent Renewables launched as a U.S.-based technology and operations company with a proprietary continuous pyrolysis technology that converts waste tires, plastics, and biomass into valuable fuels and chemicals.

The exclusive pyrolysis technology is unique in that it's continuous, which is a much higher efficiency compared to batch processing. It utilizes the gas to preheat the tires, thereby making it a Net Zero energy process. During the process valuable chemicals are recovered from the products, producing high quality fuels. 

As part of SoCalGas' 2023 Fueling Our Communities initiative, the company announced a $100,000 donation to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank that will provide approximately 400,000 meals to people throughout Los Angeles County.

The grant to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is one of several donations to local charities, funding programs to provide meals and groceries this year. SoCalGas is expanding the impact of the Fueling Our Communities initiative by allocating $4 million in 2023, the largest commitment to date, to new and existing partnerships
