Summer Street partnered with an industry veteran to build a regional solid waste and recycling platform in Southeast Florida.
Summer Street Capital Partners, a private equity fund based in Buffalo, N.Y., announced its investment in Southeast Florida waste and recycling platform Coastal Waste and Recycling, Inc.
Summer Street partnered with industry veteran Brendon Pantano to execute an aggressive growth strategy and build a regional solid waste and recycling platform. Over the past 12 months, Coastal has completed four acquisitions across the Southeast Florida market, including Nu-Way Recycling in Martin County, Aquarius Recycling and Thoroughbred Waste in Palm Beach County and Mammoth Recycling in Broward County.
"Summer Street has a wealth of experience and direct industry knowledge that is unique to a financial partner," said Coastal Waste and Recycling CEO Brendon Pantano in a statement. "They have been building independent, regional solid waste and recycling platforms for nearly two decades, and understand that to succeed and grow, Coastal must become the buyer of choice in the market, earning the trust and confidence of business owners and customers."
"Summer Street and Management share a clear vision for Coastal Waste—build a full-service solid waste platform, differentiating ourselves through customized, professional and reliable services to our customers," said Brian D'Amico, managing partner at Summer Street Capital, in a statement. "Coastal has achieved remarkable growth in the last 12 months. Even more remarkable are the employees of Coastal whose dedication, integrity and dependability will drive the company's continued success."
