Staples Inc. is partnering with the Trenton, N.J.-based recycling firm TerraCycle Inc. to offer discounts to customers in Seattle who bring in old binders for recycling.

The Framingham, Mass.-based office products retailer is offering to customers at participating Seattle stores $2 off the purchase of a new binder for each old binder brought in for recycling, the company said in a news release.

Staples is placing no limit on the number of binders that can be recycled or the new binders purchased, but $2 is the maximum discount on any new binder. The discount must be used the same day the binder is recycled.
