California State University, San Marcos, once again took the crown in this year's Recyclemania, a 10-week, nationwide competition in which colleges and universities compete to collect the most recyclables. The contest is overseen by the Washington-based National Recycling Coalition. Recycling 71.82 percent of its waste, this was CSU's sixth Grand Champion victory in as many years, making them the New York Yankees of collegiate recycling competitions.
