Emmaus, Pa.'s New Refuse, Recycling Contract Comes with Fee Increase

Earlier this week the Emmaus Borough Council in Pa. awarded a new six-year pact with Whitetail Disposal of Perkiomenville.

Earlier this week the Emmaus Borough Council in Pa. awarded a new six-year pact with Whitetail Disposal of Perkiomenville.

With the new pact, White Disposal of Perkiomenville will be increasing annual fees to between $490 and $495, up from the current discounted price of $375. The deal is for manual pickup and is set for a three-year duration, followed by three, one-year options.

"We think we can hold that [fee increase] steady for four years," said Shane Pepe, borough manager.  "That's probably the spot for the four years, based on the way we do the analysis."
