Employee Finds Anti-Aircraft Explosive at Recycling Facility in Spain

An employee at the Gran Canaria recycling center received quite the scare when they found an unexploded anti-aircraft shell at the facility in Telde, Spain.

An employee at the Gran Canaria recycling center received quite the scare when they found an unexploded anti-aircraft shell at the facility in Telde, Spain.

National Police investigated the finding and said that someone, for whatever crazy reason, put the live bomb into a recycling bin for collection. The bomb had been picked up by a garbage truck and taken to the facility for sorting.

Bomb disposal excerpts arrived on the scene after the building had been evacuated. The team retrieved the shell and transferred it to its group’s facility to study before it will be destroyed.
