Hydrovolt Set to Open Battery Recycling Facility in France’s Battery Valley

Hyrdovolt, a Norwegian battery recycling firm, is expanding internationally via a new facility in France.

Hyrdovolt, a Norwegian battery recycling firm, is expanding internationally via a new facility in France.

Known as “France’s Battery Valley,” the new facility will be opened in Hordain, where four major battery production facilities will operate.

"This is a big milestone for Hydrovolt," said Ole-Christen Enger, Hyrdovolt.

"Entry to the French market will help us maintain our position as a leading European recycler of EV and industrial batteries.”

Hyrdovolt, a joint venture between Norsk Hydro and Northvolt, says it can recover up to 95 percent of the metals from used batteries for reuse.
