Hyrdovolt, a Norwegian battery recycling firm, is expanding internationally via a new facility in France.
Known as “France’s Battery Valley,” the new facility will be opened in Hordain, where four major battery production facilities will operate.
"This is a big milestone for Hydrovolt," said Ole-Christen Enger, Hyrdovolt.
"Entry to the French market will help us maintain our position as a leading European recycler of EV and industrial batteries.”
Hyrdovolt, a joint venture between Norsk Hydro and Northvolt, says it can recover up to 95 percent of the metals from used batteries for reuse.
