N.J. Recycling Plant Employee Killed by Forklift

According to investigators, the employee was operating the forklift when it became stuck and ejected him before falling on top of him

Rigoberto Guerrero, a 52-year-old employee at Lincoln Recycling Plant in N.J., was killed after a forklift fell on him. According to investigators, Guerrero was operating the forklift when it became stuck and ejected him before falling on top of him.

A 52-year-old Union City man was killed at a North Bergen recycling plant on Tuesday after being trapped under a forklift, Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari announced.

Rigoberto Guerrero died from injuries sustained during the accident at the Lincoln Recycling Plant on Dell Avenue. North Bergen police and EMS responded to the recycling facility around 4 p.m. where they found the man pinned under a forklift and seriously injured, Schillari said.
