The city of Oberlin is preparing to roll out a new and improved recycling service this fall that will impact residents and commercial users.

On Sept. 15, Oberlin City Council waived the rule requiring a third reading to amend changes in an ordinance detailing specifics on the city’s new refuse and recycling collection services.

The revamped program will be a cart-based collection system with “co-mingled” recycling, said Oberlin city public works Director Jeff Baumann. (The Morning Journal)
