Pennsylvania Resource Council Plans for Permanent Recycling Facility

Looking to maximize the area’s recycling efforts, the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) is putting together plans to establish a permanent recycling facility in Allegheny County.

Looking to maximize the area’s recycling efforts, the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) is putting together plans to establish a permanent recycling facility in Allegheny County.

The PRC hopes a permanent recycling facility will help residents with their recycling since it would be more convenient and cost effective to drop off electronics, household chemicals, and other hard to recycle materials. The permanent facility will serve 200 people a day within five years, according to a PRC news release.

The goal for the PRC is to construct the facility by 2030, hoping that assistance from partners, funding, and government and public support will see the facility open sooner.
