Rumpke Waste & Recycling plans to build a new waste and recycling facility on the east side of Cincinnati, Ohio.

According to a new release from the company, the new $12 million facility will be in Clermont County’s Union Township. Rumpke is looking to build the 430,000-square-foot facility on 11 acres of a 31-acre lot, which the company is in the final stages of purchasing. The remaining area will be marketed to other industrial users.

“The facility will add convenience for our residents and the rest of the county throughout the year,” Cory Wright, Union Township administrator, said in the release.

“Additionally, the facility will provide an economic benefit to the township, generating JEDD (Joint Economic Development District, or shared tax revenue) funding as well as property tax.”
