Savannah, Ga. has suspended curbside recycling services starting at the beginning of the week to prioritize storm debris cleanup after Hurricane Helene.

Savannah, Ga. has suspended curbside recycling services starting at the beginning of the week to prioritize storm debris cleanup after Hurricane Helene.

Residents are being asked to use recycling carts for waste overflow as regular waste collection services will continue. Residents who still wish to recycle can use the single-stream recycling drop-off facilities in the area.

Hurricane Helene left widespread damage across Savannah. A contractor has been secured by Savannah to begin debris removal this week which officials estimate could last several weeks.
