St. Petersburg, Fla., Rolls Out New Recycling Carts

Curbside recycling is coming to St. Petersburg, starting with the distribution of 76,000 big blue household recycling barrels.

However, the first task for many homeowners will be finding some place for the barrel to sit empty until July.

"Almost 25 years we've been trying to get this to happen and it's here now -- and we're going to make it happen," director of sanitation Benjamin Shirley told FOX 13 News.
