Tennessee County Assists Residents with Recycling Through App

A new web-based app called Recycle Coach is helping residents of Rutherford County, Tenn. decide in which bins their recyclables belong.

Solid Waste Director Mac Nolen welcomed the new technology, saying the new app assists with communication about the location of recycling and convenience centers. The “What Goes Where” educates residents about how trash should be sorted.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation coordinated the efforts between the county and Recycle Coach.
