Despite the weather, attendees at WWETT Show 2024 packed the rooms as the first of more than 90 conference sessions took place. The WWETT Show is the most immersive showcase of the latest innovations within the wastewater industry.
#4 - New Coalition Aims to Catalyze US-European Hydrogen Trade
A new U.S.-based group, the Transatlantic Clean Hydrogen Trade Coalition (H2TC), has joined the quest, aspiring to get more than three million metric tons of low-carbon hydrogen per year to Europe by 2030. That’s nearly a third of the 10 million metric tons that the European Union aims to import annually by 2030.

#1 - New York City Defunds Community Composting, Leaving Few Remaining Groups Scrambling
As the few remaining grassroots programs scramble in search of a plan, Mayor Eric Adams administration is rolling out what DSNY calls the nation’s largest curbside composting program, under its universal curbside collection law. So far Brooklyn and Queens residents receive this service, to be extended to the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island in October 2024.
