The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) sent the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) and other leaders in the “America Recycles Network” three new PSAs developed by the agency that encourage recycling more, and recycling right.

“SWANA is very pleased by EPA’s release of these new public service announcements, which are consistent with SWANA’s messaging during the COVID-19 crisis urging Americans to recycle right, not to place discarded masks or gloves in recycling, and not to discard PPE on the ground.  SWANA will continue to work closely with EPA and other stakeholders to encourage smart recycling behavior and reduce contamination. We are also urging Congress to include funding for recycling infrastructure and education, as recycling both creates jobs and benefits the environment,” said David Biderman, executive director and CEO, SWANA.

Here are the three videos that USEPA shared with the network.
