A new video from the Indian Forest Service (IFS) shows a young tiger picking a plastic water bottle out of a waterhole.

The tiger, located at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra, found a plastic water bottle in a nearby waterhole. The bottle was seemingly left behind by a safari-goer.

Susanta Nanda, IFS officer, caught the interaction on video and shared it to X (formally Twitter) to widespread attention that highlights the issue of waste pollution affecting natural habitats.

This is the latest example of an animal having to clean up after humans in the Reserve. Last year, a tiger cub was seen playing with a discarded gumboot, which raised concerns among forest officials regarding rubber and plastic pollutants in protected areas.
