Just Salad Goes Green for the Month of May
The restaurant chain’s month-long $99 unlimited salad bowl promotion aims to reduce plastic waste.
Just Salad, the fast-casual restaurant concept committed to making healthy food accessible to everyone, is going even greener next month by introducing the Unlimited Salad Bowl. For $99, guests will receive a green reusable bowl to order one free salad every day throughout the month of May. With only 100 bowls available, Just Salad is offering a cost-effective solution to eliminating plastic waste and increasing the number of nutrient-rich meals available to its customers.
“A lot of our customers’ wellness goals are centered around the unofficial start of summer: Memorial Day, and with the Unlimited Salad Bowl, guests can enjoy healthy without limits. We’re encouraging our customers to make May their healthiest month yet,” said Just Salad Director of Marketing Stephen Swartz in a statement.
Unlimited Salad Bowl customers in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Chicago can choose from any chef-designed salad, including fan-favorites like Buffalo Chicken or Tokyo Supergreens, or they can build their own custom salad with four essential toppings and one protein. If a customer brings their bowl in all 31 days in May, the cost breaks down to only $3.19 per salad.
“As a brand, we have been focused on reducing our plastic consumption since our doors first opened in 2006,” said Just Salad CEO and Cofounder Nick Kenner in a statement. “We’re always looking for new initiatives that help us be kind to our planet. Just Salad saves over 75,000 pounds from plastic from hitting landfills every year, which is a statistic we can all be proud of.”
The Unlimited Salad Bowl is valid in-store at any of Just Salad’s U.S. locations. Customers must order their bowl by Wednesday, April 25 to receive it by the Tuesday, May 1 start date. After the month of May, guests can still use their green bowl to receive free toppings every time they bring it in-store.
