A recent study conducted by Lux Research reveals that recycling, not reuse, is likely to be the more preferred option for making use of 65 GWh retired electric vehicle batteries that will enter the market in 2035.

Automaker Tesla is one of the companies that back recycling over reuse because its NCA cathodes aren’t suitable for most stationary storage needs.
