Green County, N.Y., Considers Waste-to-Energy Facility

The Catskill Town Board has learned that the Greene County Industrial Development Agency has up to $250,000 committed in its 2015 budget toward furthering the concept of developing an IDA project in the town.

The main concepts under consideration are the possibility for a waste-to-energy facility at the former Holcim cement plant location on Route 9W, and a tourism/lodging venue along the County Route 23B corridor between Leeds and Jefferson Heights.
