  • The Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC), Washington, D.C., has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which makes USAID's Global Technology Network (GTN) available to WASTEC members for free.

  • Houston-based Waste Management Inc. has signed a three-year agreement with John Deere Construction and Forestry Co., Moline, Ill. John Deere will supply four-wheel-drive loaders and other equipment, such as the 304H and 644H waste handlers, to Waste Management for its transfer stations, recycling centers and landfill operations.

  • EarthShell Corp., Santa Barbara, Calif., has announced an agreement to supply EarthShell packaging to Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.
