The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO), Columbus, has announced a contract with R.B. Jergens Contractors Inc., Vandalia, Ohio, to construct a landfill gas (LFG) collection system to capture gases generated at the Franklin County sanitary landfill. When completed, methane and carbon dioxide gases will be purchased, processed and marketed for industrial use.

SAC Recycling Trucks, South Windsor, Conn., has appointed Metropolitan Waste Equipment Inc., Stoughton, Mass., as its sales and service representative for Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
