The City of Corpus Christi is seeking a Landfill Manager to direct a fourteen county region landfill. Develops and manages short/long range implementation of overall landfill operations. Coordinates with engineers and consultants. Works closely with state and national regulatory agencies to assure compliance with current requirements and stay abreast of changes. Develops new programs meeting environmental/community needs, e.g. methane gas management, mitigation/remediation projects, establishment of transfer stations, etc. Manages annual budget. Make periodic and special reports, presentations, and recommendations to the City Manager, City Council, special audiences (hauler, business/industry concerns, environmental groups) and the general public. Responsible for all employment practices for assigned landfill personnel.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or math/earth science field, with three years responsible experience in landfill/solid waste management; Or bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration with five years experience. Or any combination of experience and education which demonstrates possession of specified knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requires Class "C" Texas Driver's License, Class "A" Solid Waste Technical Letter of Competency issued by the TNRCC or the equivalent issued by another state upon hire.

Salary: $42,230.00 - $64.503.00 Annually.
