San Diego, Calif. -- Kyocera Wireless Corp. has received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9 Environmental Award for recycling and diverting more than 60 percent, or 2 million pounds, of its total waste material for 2000. Since 1997, the company's Target Teams for Recycling have saved more than $8.7 million by recycling and practicing waste diversion.
