NJ DEP, PSEG Fossil Sign Voluntary Agreement

Newark, N.J. -- The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and PSEG Fossil have announced a voluntary agreement calling for a 15 percent reduction in the carbon dioxide emissions rate at in-state fossil fuel-powered plants and a $1.5 million grant to the DEP to assist in the development of landfill gas (LFG) projects.
