OSHA Phases-In Ergonomics Advisory Committee

Washington, D.C. -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has formed a national advisory committee on ergonomics as part of its voluntary approach to reducing ergonomic-related injuries and illnesses in the workplace.

The committee will advise on several issues, such as identifying gaps in the existing research on ergonomics and the application of ergonomic principles in the workplace, provide outreach and assistance methods to communicate with employees, and increase communication about ergonomics.

The committee will consist of 15 members chosen for their expertise and experience with ergonomic issues. OSHA will accept nominations for committee membership. For more information, visit www.osha.gov.
