PA DEP To Webcast Recycling, Waste Reduction Strategies

Harrisburg, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), working with Philadelphia-based GreenWorks.tv and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Washington, D.C., will host a live Internet webcast on May 1 entitled "Communities: Setting Trends in Waste Prevention and Recycling."

The webcast is designed to provide tips to eliminate waste and boost communities' recycling efforts. Topics include the cost effectiveness of recycling, construction and demolition (C&D) management, food waste, and electronics re-use and recycling.

Panelists from Maryland, Wisconsin, California and New York will share lessons learned about their own government waste reduction and recycling programs.
