Volvo Acquires Telescopic Handler Business Unit

Stockholm, Sweden - Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has acquired the Telescopic Handler business unit from UpRight Inc., which includes six models of compact equipment ranging from 6,000 pounds to 8,000 pounds in both low- and high-boom versions. The acquired products will be developed further and launched globally under the Volvo brand in 2003.
