Waste Connections Acquires Six More Operations

Folsom, Calif. -- Waste Connections Inc. has closed or signed definitive agreements for six acquisitions in the first quarter of 2003, with total annualized revenues of approximately $33 million. The acquisitions are in addition to those in the fourth quarter of 2001 and early in the first quarter of 2003, with approximated annualized revenues of $32 million.

Acquisitions include Ocoee Environmental, a group of companies representing a vertically integrated operation in Eastern Tennessee and Northwestern Georgia that includes two municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills and three transfer stations, as well as a series of tuck-in acquisitions in Tennessee, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma.
