Houston-based Waste Management has donated $150,000 in its Think Green Community Involvement Grants to 15 affiliates of Keep America Beautiful (KAB), Stamford, Conn. The winning affiliates were chosen from more than 575 local affiliates that submitted proposals for potential projects representing a variety of stewardship, community outreach and educational efforts.

“The ambitious work of KAB’s affiliate organizations demonstrates our mission to engage individuals in taking greater responsibility for improving their community environments,” said Matthew McKenna, president and CEO of KAB, in a press release. “We look forward to seeing all of these important projects come to fruition thanks to the generosity of Waste Management’s grant.”
