Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) announced the formation of the U.S. Composting Infrastructure Coalition. NWRA is joined by other stakeholders across the organic waste management and sustainable materials communities to help find solutions for municipal solid waste reduction and recycling.

“There is an immediate, significant need for robust investment into composting infrastructure,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “Implementing innovative and responsible waste solutions like composting serves as an opportunity to address key environmental challenges and bring economic impact to people and communities.”

The U.S. Composting Infrastructure Coalition brings together a cross-section of industry leaders to promote increased investment in composting infrastructure. Investing in composting infrastructure will benefit the economy, the environment, and rural and urban communities.
