A composting project three years in the making by Wilson College and Volvo Construction Equipment in Shippensburg was formally announced Tuesday at Wilson's Fulton Farm.
"This project has taken a long time, and it is exciting today to see it coming to fruition," Chris Mayer, director of the Fulton Center for Sustainable Living, said during her remarks.
Beginning on Oct. 9, Volvo sends its prekitchen cafeteria waste to Wilson to be composted and reused on the college's organic farm.
