Collision with Garbage Truck Kills Man and Girl, Sends Boy to Hospital

A man and a girl have died following an accident with a sanitation truck in Lafayette County, Miss.
Law enforcement responded at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday morning for a wreck between a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta and a Panola County 2020 Mack garbage truck.
The man, 40-year-old John Matthew Ellington, died at the scene. The girl was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi, where she died a short time later. A boy is currently in critical condition.
The driver of the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries.
