In October 2016, Entsorga North America spokesman Dennis Soriano pitched a waste-to-fuel proposal to the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency in the Town of Ulster, N.Y. And now, Soriano held a meeting with the Ulster County Solid Waste Management Improvement Commission to explain how the odorless biotech sorting facility would turn solid waste into fuel for manufacturing facilities.
The facility, which is expected to handle up to 300,000 tons of waste per year, is still under review and no approval has been granted yet.

The Ulster County Solid Waste Management Improvement Commission expects to give county legislators the option of a biotech sorting operation that would turn solid waste into fuel for manufacturing facilities.
The proposal was pitched during a commission meeting Thursday at which Entsorga North America spokesman Dennis Soriano spent an hour describing the process and displaying a small bag of specks of plastic, paper and cloth materials that would be burned as an alternative to gas and oil for producing usable energy.
