Five garbage trucks worth more than a total of $1.3 million were rendered useless after a fire over the weekend at the Little Rock Solid Waste Facility. According to city officials, several of the city’s waste removal services will be on a delay due to the loss of equipment.
The fire at the city’s landfill was called into the Little Rock Fire Department at about 6:17 AM on Sunday. Officials with the Little Rock Solid Waste said they believe the fire started in one truck and subsequently spread to the four other trucks parked next to it.
