Motion Expands Presence in Eastern Canada with Acquisition of LSI Supply Inc.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Motion Industries has agreed to purchase LSI Supply, Inc. and its sister company.

LSI Supply, based in Windsor, Ontario, distributes bearings, seals, power transmission and fluid power components, and industrial supplies for numerous industries including renewable energy, wastewater and more.

James Howe, Motion's president, noted that the acquistion will extend its "leadership position" in the region.

“LSI’s talent, offerings and markets complement Motion’s perfectly," he said in a statement. "The business culture is an especially good fit, which is critically important when joining forces and providing premier customer service. We look forward to welcoming LSI’s 30+ employees and creating significant opportunities for our teammates and supplier partners, which will increase value for our customers.”

Motion provides maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts and industrial technology solutions.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
