New Way Unveils New Under-CDL Wolverine ASL; Has Strong Presence at Waste Expo
May 9, 2022
Las Vegas, NV – New Way Trucks, the largest private manufacturer of refuse equipment in North America, is excited to introduce a new under-CDL capable automated side-loader (ASL): the New Way Wolverine. The Wolverine comes equipped with features of New Way’s best-selling Sidewinder XTR, just in a smaller package. The new truck comes available in body sizes of 10-, 12-, and 14-cubic yards. It is on display in New Way’s booth at WasteExpo (#2150) until Thursday.
Also on display in New Way’s booth are units showcasing key New Way customers including a Mammoth front-loader celebrating the company’s partnership with Waste Connections and their 25 year anniversary in conjunction with New Way’s 50th year in business, Marin Sanitary’s eye-catching auger-driven ROTO PAC ASL, and a new-and-improved New Way Sidewinder XTR highlighting its customer GFL.
In addition to the units in display in booth #2150, New Way is featuring four additional trucks at 2022’s WasteExpo: a Cobra Magnum rear-loader (RL) in the Peterbilt Motors booth (#2426), a Sidewinder XTR in the Dennis Eagle booth (#1051), a Viper RL in the EREF booth (#551), and a narrow body battery-electric Cobra RL in the Battle Motors – formerly Crane Carrier Company – booth (#1251). New Way currently has more battery-electric refuse vehicles on route today than any other body manufacturer.
A longtime supporter of the Environmental Research & Education Foundation, New Way is proud to have again donated a work-ready truck to be auctioned off live in EREF booth on Wednesday, May 11th at 3:30 local time. The 11-yard Viper RL is mounted on an International HV207 Chassis and comes equipped with a Perkins D6620-27k Tuckaway Tipper-Bar lifter. New Way also donated two VIP passes to a day in their suite at the 2023 WM Phoenix Open and a two-night hotel stay to the EREF Silent Auction. Bidding on this package is open now.
New Way CEO Mike McLaughlin is also one of the newest members of the EREF Board of Directors. “We are proud to stand behind EREF’s mission to develop and evaluate new approaches to manage municipal solid waste and to provide scholarships to America’s future waste and sustainability professionals, ” said Mike. “New Way is honored to have participated in every aspect of EREF’s fundraising efforts. We hope to see a great crowd at the EREF Live Auction on Wednesday afternoon!”
Another recent industry board appointment involved New Way’s Vice President, Don Ross. The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) elected Ross to chair their Board of Trustees. His term will commence at the Board of Trustees meeting this morning at WasteExpo.
Additionally, New Way’s Controls team is eager to show off some New for ’22 features of New Way’s industry-leading Sidewinder XTR ASL. These include but are not limited to: considerably faster cycle times, cooler operating temperatures to improve performance and extend system life, the availability of real-time data collection and mission critical KPIs, and better performance for CNG and lower horsepower vehicles. Stop by booth #2150 to learn more about how New Way’s Sidewinder continues to set the standard for automated collection.
“WasteExpo is always an exciting event for us, but this year is special because it’s the first time the whole industry has gotten together on such a large scale in quite a while,” said Don Ross. “Not only do we get to officially introduce the under-CDL capable Wolverine, we’re also excited to display more of our cutting-edge product lineup and support EREF’s critical mission.”
New Way is also sponsoring tonight’s Welcome Reception, which begins at 6:30 at Allegiant Stadium.
