Tesla Claims It Has Ability to Recycle 92% of Battery Materials

Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has stated it now has the capability to recycle 92% of its battery cell materials.

The news was detailed in the company's 2020 Impact Report. Tesla has placed improving its battery recycling process as a high-priority goal for years, alongside driver safety.

Specific materials Tesla has noted that it has recycled are 1,300 tons of nickel, 400 tons of copper and 80 tons of cobalt.
