Two Garbage Trucks Collide in Westhampton, N.Y., Shut Down Montauk Highway

Yesterday morning, an East End Sanitation truck collided with a Magee Sanitation truck in Westhampton, N.Y., causing a three-hour shutdown on Montauk Highway. During the accident, the East End Sanitation truck rolled over and hit a gas pump, which caused substantial damage to USA Gasoline.

No injuries were reported, and the fire department worked for hours to stand up the garbage truck and clean up spilled gasoline, diesel fuel and other liquids and debris that fell from the truck during the roll over.
