Waste Management Garbage Truck Collides with Train in Virginia

A Waste Management garbage truck collided with a train in Washington County, Va., yesterday morning. The Waste Management employee was transported via helicopter to the Bristol Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, while the train engineer sustained no injuries.

Herald Courier has more information:

A garbage truck collided with a train Monday morning at a railroad crossing in Washington County, Virginia.

Virginia State Police were called to the crash along Wyndale Road at Kenwarn Lane just before noon.

The driver of the truck has been flown by a Virginia State Police Med-Flight helicopter to the Bristol Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The train engineer was not injured in the crash.
