Canadians Are All for Best-Before Dates, Even if They Lead to Food Waste

In an attempt to limit food waste, several food suppliers in the United Kingdom have stopped putting "best-by" dates on their produce.

It's been questioned whether or not Canadian citizens would be opposed to implementing this food waste precaution in their stores as well; the answer could shock you.

It is believed that Canadians have much more trust in their food safety, attributing making them trust and check sell-by or best-by dates much more regularly than those in the UK. Food safety experts urge those looking to eliminate food waste to look more into this strategy alongside others to cut back the food waste problem in Canada.
