Organics Recycling to Launch in Carmel Valley, Calif.

Following the passage of SB 1383, Carmel Valley is getting ready to initiate an organics recycling program.

The widely-discussed California legislation aims to divert 75 percent of organics waste sent to landfills by 2025. For cities such as San Diego, many procedural changes had to be made in order to implement a program.

Residents who use city services will receive a kitchen pail and green composting bin.
