Upcycling Waste Matchmaking Service Launched

The Digital Marketplace for Side Streams has been launched to help companies find ways to ‘upcycle’ waste from food products and connect them with firms that can re-use the waste. The online platform shows companies how they can make additional money from the by-products, find out other industries that can use the by-products and reduce the waste from food production. 

The Digital Marketplace is not just for the food industry. For example, cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies can use and benefit from by-products and reducing their consumption footprint by taking part in a circular economy like this.
