VLS Environmental Solutions Packs Over 12,000 lbs. of Food for Houston Food Bank

HOUSTON, Texas, – VLS Environmental Solutions, known for their commitment to community service through their VLS Cares initiative, has once again demonstrated their dedication to serving the local community. At the end of September, team members from VLS, coordinated by La'Trece Kirk from the Client Support Center, volunteered at the Houston Food Bank to pack food items for families in need.

Houston Food Bank, a member of the Feeding America network, is the largest source of food for hunger relief charities in eighteen (18) southeast Texas counties. A network of 1,500 community partners and programs, like food pantries, soup kitchens and schools, count on the Food Bank for equitable and timely distribution of food. As an organization, it firmly believes in leading the fight against hunger and provides meals to those in need. In the last year alone, the Houston Food Bank distributed over 122 million nutritious meals. It is through the significant efforts of volunteers and organizations, such as VLS Environmental Solutions, that the Houston Food Bank continues to thrive and serve the community.

In a remarkable show of teamwork and generosity, the group successfully packed a staggering 12,200 lbs. of food, equivalent to 18 pallets, destined for donation. This significant effort will provide much needed sustenance for more than 10,000 families in the Houston area, truly exemplifying the spirit of VLS Environmental Solutions' mission to enhance the lives of those in our community.
