Allied Waste names two new board members

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Allied Waste has appointed William J. Flynn and John M. Trani to its Board of Directors, effective Feb. 19.

Flynn is president and CEO. of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings in Purchase N. Y., and Trani is chairman of Accretive Commerce in Huntsville, N.C..

"Both have an impressive track record of corporate success and each brings valuable experiences to help guide Allied Waste as we continue to pursue initiatives in support of our key focus areas of people development, customer service and operational excellence," said John L. Zillmer, chairman and CEO of Allied in a press release.
