The city of Baton Rouge, La., has been selected by the Curbside Value Partnership, Arlington, Va., to start a “CART IT!” public relations campaign to encourage residents to increase their curbside recycling. The campaign will include billboards, bus shelter ads, fliers and public service announcements.
“People often forget that recycling is the easiest way to make an impact on a truly global issue,” said Melvin Holden, mayor of Baton Rouge, in a press release. “ I like to say that recycling is one way we can all become everyday environmentalists.”
